Lyme Regis residents invited to local area partnership meeting

Ellen Austin is co-ordinator of the local area partnership LymeForward
LYME Regis residents will have an opportunity to make suggestions for community projects and help decide the town’s priorities.
The local area partnership (LAP) LymeForward is holding its next quarterly meeting on Thursday, March 14 from 2pm to 4pm at the Woodmead Halls.
From 1pm to 2pm there will also be an opportunity for people to drop in and have an informal chat with LAP members about what the partnership does and what it does for the community.
Suggestions for further projects can be made, and LAP members would welcome offers to help.
Tea and coffee will be available during the open session, before the meeting starts at 2pm, which is open to anyone to attend as an observer.
A LAP spokesman said: “With the larger portion of its funding now coming from Lyme Regis Town Council – the rest from West Dorset District Council – local people have an even greater right to decide on priority areas for action, so if unable to attend the open session, do get in touch with Ellen Austin, the LAP co-ordinator.
“She works out of the Lyme Regis Development Trust office in St Michael’s Business Centre, and can be contacted by email at ellen@lrdt.co.uk or on 01297 444387.
“At this meeting, the economic aims of the revised Community Plan will be examined to decide what areas need tackling most in these difficult times.”
