THE Lyme Regis RNLI lifeboat crew have been given a handy gift.

The volunteers were presented with a complete set of new high-techi neoprene gloves from Boylo’s Watersports on Marine Parade and O’Neill Wetsuits.

Dee Caldwell, European sales director of O’Neill, handed them over at one of the crew’s training sessions.

Murray Saunders, of Boylo’s, who is also a crew member, said:”Working in the cold is one thing, but when you add water to the equation you quickly lose feeling in your hands.

“”With lifeboat rescues typically lasting over an hour it’s important that tasks aren’t inhibited by cold, clumsy fingers.

“This generous donation of special gloves will help the crew, adding to their performance and comfort in difficult conditions.”
