A popular beach event has been called off

THE annual Sculpture on the Beach competition at Eype on Sunday has been cancelled on the advice of police and coastguards following the cliff fall that killed 22-year-old Charlotte Blackman at
Burton Beach on Tuesday.
Bridport Arts Centre's general manager Dee Fenton said they were advised to cancel the event before the official announcement that all the
dangerous beaches were closed.
She said police and coastguards had both warned how dangerously unstable the coastline was at the moment.
