TWO Bridport youngsters have been hand picked from thousands of martial arts students to perform on the world stage.

Lois Copeland and Aiden Cooper have been attending the Matt Fiddes Martial Arts Organisation in Bridport for years and showed so much talent they've made it to the final 40 students who will be representing the organisation at the World Martial Arts Games from September 1 to 4, which this year is being held in Manchester.

Mums Anna Copeland and Sharron Leader said: "The event attracts around 2000 entrants from around the world and this is a great honour for them to represent the organisation and our country in the World Games. They are looking for sponsorship to help with costs to cover travel, accommodation and entry fees over the four days.

"This is a fantastic opportunity for them both and we hope to gain some local support."

Both Lois and Aiden have their own Just giving page which will be open until mid-August if anyone would like to donate. Donations can also be dropped into Angel Carers in South Street, You can contact Anna 07895964101 or Sharron 07786373958 who will also be happy to collect donations. This is a fantastic opportunity for them both and we hope to gain some local support.
