SEVENTY-ONE-YEAR-OLD Tristan Allsop may have just finished a gruelling cycle ride Land’s End to John O’Groats and be about to set off for the London to Brighton race but he wasn't oo busy to support Bridport's Youth and Community Centre.

He was one of the many people who bought a raffle ticket in the hopes of winning an impressive photo of the “Broadchurch” view of West Bay, framed and printed by Renford Studios, and signed by the drama's stars Olivia Colman and David Tennant who played DSI Miller and DI Hardy.

Mr Allsop found the time to collect his prize from trustees Richard Toft and Kelvin Clayton and newly appointed administrator at the centre Katrina Polanska.

Katrina said: “I am delighted to be able to join Bridport Youth and Community Centre in my new role as a centre administrator.

"It will give me an opportunity to give something back to the community and help to create much needed services for young people. I look forward to contributing in making it a hub for the local community. "

The trustees still have to raise funds for the continued operations of the centre.

Mr Clayton added: “We need 100 community 'champions' to guarantee the delivery of our youth club - 100 people willing to pledge just £5 a month.

"In return each month one person will receive a prize of £100, and all the participants will know they are directly supporting an essential service for the young people of Bridport.

"If you want to become one in a 100please email me on bridportycc@gmail.com”
