THE CONSERVATIVES have won a by-election on Bridport Town Council.
Barbara Vousden won the by-election in the Bridport South ward, in the seat vacated by fellow Conservative Francis MacKenzie.
Ms Vousden received 432 votes, ahead of Liberal Democrat candidate Philip Colfox, who tallied up 298 votes. Labour’s Nick Boothroyd took third place with 234 votes, while Green candidate Andy Jefferies attracted 200 votes.
The turnout for the by-election was 38 per cent.
