Police are appealing for witnesses after a teenager was chased into a car park and attacked.

A spokesman for Dorset Police said the 15-year-old girl was chased into Rope Walks car park in Bridport from Gundry Lane and attacked at around 9.30pm on Friday, April 7.

It is reported the offender pushed the girl to the ground, pulled the victim's hair and kicked her.

The victim sustained a grazed knee in the incident.

Bridport Deputy Neighbourhood Inspector Jamie Clark, said: “We take reports of assault very seriously and are currently conducting an investigation into the incident.

“At this stage we believe the offender was of a similar age and was possibly known to the victim.

“We have established that a number of teenagers were in the area at the time of the assault and I would ask anyone with information to contact police.”
