BOB Marley has made a spectacular appearance in Bridport.

His portrait is now adorning the walls of an old shed in the old cattle market area of the St Michael's Trading Estate.

Samantha Hall from Lyme Regis said: "The huge portrait of Bob Marley has mysteriously appeared on the walls of the art quarter in Birdport and is now drawing people of all ages to the town.

"If you haven't seen it you're missing a treat."

But not everyone is as appreciative.

Martin Ridley from Haywards and Co, owners of the estate said there was an 'official' graffiti site on the old Stover building but artists had not confined themselves to that space.

He said: "We'd rather they didn't. It is a problem we would rather not have. This building is due for demolition, although if we find out is been done by Banksy we might have to have to think again!"
