THEY describe themselves as a rock band not afraid of a good pop tune – and it's that alternative pop sound The RPMs are bringing to the Electric Palace next week that's making the band stand out from the crowd.

Supporting The Beat on Thursday, December 8 in Bridport, The RPMs, originally from Dorchester but now Brighton based, have been rocking gigs up and down the country spreading their sound.

The future looks bright for the dedicated band made up of Jack Valero, on lead vocals and rhythm guitar, Miguel Cosme on bass and backing vocals and Callum James on drums.

The trio note the likes of Tom Petty, The Jam and The Libertines as their inspiration.

Having supported The Beat at many venues across the UK already including The Open in Norwich, they have also opened for Wolf Alice and Rudimental at the Glastonbury Pilton Party in 2015.

By all accounts their signature killer hooks will ‘take up lodgings in your subconscious that won’t be budged by a billion bailiffs’ so this promises to be the perfect warm up to a great night of ska rhythms.

The RPMs, led by former Colfox student Jack, play good time songs with killer hooks – promising to make for a perfect warm up to a night of ska rhythms.

The band recently signed to Xtra Mile Recordings, home of Frank Turner and Sonic Boom Six, and their debut EP with the label, Digital Disobedience is out now.
