POLICE are appealing for witnesses after a man was injured during an attempted robbery.
Officers were called at 5.45pm on Friday, May 6, to incident in Bridport town centre.
A spokesman for Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “A report was received of an attempted robbery of a 38-year-old man near the junction of Downes Street and Rax Lane, Bridport.
“The victim received injuries caused by being punched and kicked and damage was caused to his glasses. A 35-year-old man has been arrested for the offence and is currently on bail while enquiries continues.
“If anyone witnessed this offence then please call 101, quoting crime number 55160069737.”
