A woman has been taken to hospital after a car collided with a gate in Bridport.
Dorset Police were called to St Swithins Road this morning to the incident involving one car. The driver was taken to Dorset County Hospital.
A Dorset Police spokesman said: "We were called to a single vehicle road traffic collision at 8.03am at St Swithins Road in Bridport.
"The vehicle involved was a black Honda, registered to a Dorchester woman. The woman was taken to Dorset County Hospital and her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.
"The car had collided with a gate. Recovery teams are at the scene, and the road does not appear to be closed at this time."
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service were called to the incident.
A spokeswoman said: "We were called by the ambulance service at 8.05am.
"Two crews from Bridport went there as one female casualty was medically trapped. We help the casualty out of the vehicle and also assisted with making the vehicle safe.
"We were clear of the scene by 8.30am."
