A SERIOUS injury crash involving a car and a motorbike has taken place outside a holiday park in West Dorset.
A male biker has suffered "serious but not life threatening" head and arm injuries.
He was airlifted to Dorset County Hospital by the air ambulance.
Police were called at 6.46pm to a collision outside Freshwater Beach Holiday Park on the B3157 coast road in Burton Bradstock.
Ambulance crews and the air ambulance were at the scene.
The B3157 was closed in both directions between the Shadrach junction and the Wych Hill junction. It has since reopened.
A spokeswoman for Dorset Police said: "The vehicles involved were a white Volkswagen Golf registered to a company based in Cheshire and a grey Peugeot motorbike registered to a man from Dorchester.
"The road was closed outside the holiday park."
Officers at the scene said the VW Golf was waiting to turn right when the motorcycle collided with the back end of the car.
Dorset Police is appealing for witnesses.
