BRIDPORT'S market could have a new attraction on Saturdays if a resident has her way.
Tamsin Chandler already co-ordinates the annual food festival and has been commissioned by Dorset's Communities Living Sustainably to look into local food producers.
Now she wants to kick start a Bridport Food Market in St Michael's Trading Estate on Saturdays.
She will be presenting her ideas to the next town council's business and market liaison committee on October 20.
She will be supported by a representative from Hayward & Co, the owners of the trading estate.
If she gets the go-ahead the new market addition could begin operating in November.
As well as selling all types of local produce she hopes to see street food vendors and live music.
