POLICE officers from the Beaminster and Bridport Safer Neighbourhood teams, the Bridport response team and the force helicopter were all sent to look for a man in his 20s on Wednesday morning.
The search was conducted in fields around the Broadwindsor area after the man's father contacted police at 8.45am concerned for his safety.
Bridport Police Inspector Mike Darby, who also took part in the search, said the man was found after an hour-long search.
The man was taken to St Ann's psychiatric hospital in Poole for assessment.
