TRAVELLERS were moved on after setting up camp in a West Bay car park.
Around a dozen caravans moved into the West Bay Road car park on Thursday evening.
A spokesperson for Dorset County Council said: "The travellers were served with a section 62 eviction notice.
"The police and the landowners, West Dorset District Council, issued the notice.
"They will be offered a space at our transit site in Piddlehinton or they will have to leave the county."
In March, a group of travellers moved into the Station Yard car park in West Bay - before being moved on by police.
A Dorset Police spokesperson said: "We were made aware of the travellers arriving.
"But as there was no criminal activity, officers did not take any action."
A local businessman who did not want to be named said: "This isn't the first time this has happened in West Bay.
"They weren't really causing any problems. Someone said they had generators running during the night, which can be loud. But I think the main worry was that they would take up space in the car park over the busy Bank Holiday weekend."
The travellers had left West Bay by the 5pm deadline on Friday.
