CREWS tackled a fire on a farm just outside Beaminster yesterday after a nearby bonfire became out of control.
Firefighters from Beaminster and Bridport were alerted to the fire at approximately 5.39pm.
The building was previously used for housing animals but it currently in the process of being dismantled.
It was thought that the building contained a small amount of asbestos.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire using hose reels and nearby buildings were saturated to prevent the spread of the fire.
The incident was under control by 6.30pm although firefighters remained in attendance damping down until approximately 7.10pm.
