A WOMAN who died after plunging off a cliff in West Dorset has been named.

An inquest was opened and adjourned yesterday (Thurs) for identification purposes into the death of Jessica Frances Pulteney, 26, of Exeter.

She died following a fall from a cliff between Freshwater Holiday Park and West Bay on Wednesday, December 10.

Dr Joan McCutcheon, from the Royal Bournemouth Hospital, provisionally reported that the cause of death was multiple injuries following the fall.

A report read out to the Coroner for Dorset Sherriff Payne said: “Her body was found by a close friend of hers. She was seen to be sat at the cliff edge, before she shuffled forward and went over. Police, coastguards and an ambulance attended the incident, where she was pronounced dead at the scene.”

Coroner Sherriff Payne adjourned the inquest until February 27.
