MOTORISTS using the A35 in Morecombelake are being warned they may face delays to their because of essential water main improvement work.

Wessex Water is closing a small section of Tizards Knapp with two way traffic lights and diversion routes in place along the A35 on Saturday November 15 for up to nine days.

The work is being done to prevent any future bursts and possible interruptions to water supply in the area.

Project manager Brian Sheppey said: “The investment here is about replacing aging water mains so that customers have a more reliable supply.

“We apologise for any traffic inconvenience this work will cause and would like to thank residents in advance for their patience.”

A section of Ship Knapp near the junction with the A35 will be closed for the duration of the works, which will run from 10 November to 19 December.
