BRIDPORT: Dorset HealthCare plans to develop Bridport Hospital into a hub for services and will hold a meeting tomorow to exchange views and ideas with members of the public.
The event, hosted by the NHS Foundation Trust, will take place at 2pm.
Bridport matron, Jane Turner said: “I am proud of the services that we provide at the hospital. Dorset HealthCare is showing its commitment to the future of our community hospital and community services by supporting us to make our services even better.”
Jane added: “Dorset HealthCare’s physical and mental health teams are working with the GPs and Dorset social services to support more and more people to have the care that they need in their own home, rather than having to stay in hospital.”
The plans involve the creation of a central ‘hub’ for integrated health and social care, and the benefits to local people, including co-ordinated services available closer to people’s homes.
