THIS brings a whole new meaning to the moniker Fish Face.
Lyme skipper Harry May tells me this splendid – and rare – fish was caught from his boat.
When Thomas Lewosz came to Lyme Regis with his friends from Bridgwater to go deep sea fishing, little did he think he would catch the fish of a lifetime.
The fish is an Atlantic benito weighing 4 lbs 2ozs and only the second one ever caught on a rod from Lyme Regis.
Thomas went out on Sunbeam, skippered by Matt Styles, on a perfect day with no wind and warm conditions.
As well as this member of the tuna family the fishing party had ten Black Bream, possibly the best tasting fish in Lyme Bay, according to Harry.
Afterwards a very happy Thomas said: “This is only my second fishing trip in a boat out at sea but back in Poland I have been fishing around lakes for 15 years.
“This benito is the best fish I have ever caught.”
