Man hits brother in street row
BRIDPORT: A man has been fined for punching his brother in a road in the town.
Matthew John Buckley, 28, admitted a single charge of common assault at Weymouth Magistrates Court. Prosecuting, Elizabeth Vallera told the court the defendant, of Doctor Roberts Close, approached his brother when the pair met on East Street on September 13.
She said: “The defendant was unhappy, started shouting at the victim, something about his brother passing on malicious gossip. He had clearly lost his temper and punched his brother to the left side of his face.”
Buckley was fined £200 and ordered to pay costs of £85.
