POLICE in Bridport are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a theft from a shop in the town.
A CCTV image has been released of a man they would like to speak to.
The incident took place at around 11.30am on Tuesday January 7 in Waitrose in West Street.
A man took two large bottles of red label Smirnoff Ice Vodka and left the shop without paying.
PC James Mullin, of Bridport police, said: “Following enquiries, I am now able to release a CCTV image of a man who may be able to help us with our investigation.
“I would urge the man pictured – and anyone who recognises him – to call Dorset Police, in confidence, as soon as possible.
“I am also appealing to anyone who witnessed the incident to contact police.”
