WEATHER warnings for rain have been issued for Dorset in the run-up to Christmas.
There are yellow warnings in place for rain from 3pm on Friday afternoon until 3pm on Saturday, with another warning for downpours currently in place from 6am on Monday until midnight.
The Met Office is expecting an area of heavy rain and strong winds to cross the UK from Friday afternoon and through Saturday.
A spokesman for the Met Office announced today: “A deep low pressure system is moving across the Atlantic, arriving into western parts of the UK on Friday afternoon.
“With mild air and strong winds some large rainfall totals are possible, particularly over high ground in south Wales and southwest England.
“There remains some uncertainty around this system and this warning may be updated should the areas at risk change.”
