Police in Bridport are appealing for witnesses and anyone with information to come forward after a fail to stop road traffic collision in the town.

At approximately 2.20pm on Saturday December 14, an incident occurred between a white Peugeot 306 and a Yamaha motorcycle on St Swithins Road.

The motorcycle rider sustained an elbow injury in the incident and was taken to Dorset County Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the white Peugeot 306 left the scene without leaving any details and did not wait to talk to the police.

PC Neil Gauden of Bridport police said: “I am appealing for anyone with information about this incident to contact Dorset Police urgently.

“The driver was aware of the incident, but left the scene of the collision without exchanging details. I urge him to do the right thing and speak with the police.

“All calls will be treated in the strictest of confidence.”
