Broadchurch fever is raging in West Dorset as fans count the days to the final episode.

Last night’s penultimate instalment of the top-rating ITV drama series left “Broadies” frantically trying to piece together the clues to work out who killed Danny Latimer.

And in West Bay, where much of the action was filmed, the excitement mounts as visitors pour into the harbour anxious to see the place where much of the series was filmed.

At Harbour News the latest in the hotly awaited Broadchurch poster campaign this morning advertised a static caravan for sale, after the departure of the mysterious and menacing character Susan Wright played by Pauline Quirke.

And alongside it, there is an advert for a Psychic Hotline – and telephone repairs – put up by the Steve Connelly, the character played by Will Mellor.

After the latest episode, many fans’ suspicions swung firmly on to the members of the Miller family, as more secrets and lies were revealed.

David Tennant and Olivia Colman head the star-studded cast and the programme has attracted more than nine million viewers each week, with the nation gripped by the murder mystery of who killed a young boy in a small seaside Dorset town.

Now local businesses in the Bay and Bridport are hoping for a tourist boom this summer.

Writer and executive producer Chris Chibnall, who lives in Bridport, wrote the drama with the West Dorset landscape in mind.

But he has steadfastly refused to reveal anything about the outcome, increasing tension in the run-up to next Monday night’s revelations.
