Bridport Arts Centre is calling all supporters to donate towards their Christmas Grow your Tenner fundraising campaign and make their generosity stretch further.

For a limited period every £10 given to the Arts Centre will be match-funded at localgiving.com meaning £10 becomes £20 and if it is subject to Gift Aid the Arts Centre will get a further 25 percent.

The Christmas appeal will help to support the Arts Centre’s ongoing work – in particular the learning programme.

Donations will help keep the youth theatre groups low cost and accessible, will help support lyric writing workshops and the No Limits dance group for people with learning disabilities, back emerging artists and keep Allsop Gallery exhibitions free.

The learning and outreach programme supports hundreds of children, young people and adults to develop their own creative potential and each week, every space in the Arts Centre is used for workshops, rehearsals, performances and exhibitions – sometimes up to 20 different sessions or events in a week.

Bridport Arts Centre's Director Polly Gifford said: “There is a limited amount of match funding available so we need to act quickly to make sure we can claim as much as possible for the benefit of the many different people who use the Arts Centre.

“Remember, the match funding is a maximum of £10 per donation, so if anyone is able to give more than that, please do it in multiples of £10 to help us bring more match funding to Bridport.

“Thank you from all of the team here at the Arts Centre.”

To contribute to Grow Your Tenner donate £10 through a special page on the website (localgiving. com/charity/bac). The Dorset Community Foundation will match that with another £10. Ticking the Gift Aid box will add a further 25 percent.
