Police appeal for help after spate of break-ins

POLICE want help to track down two men thought to be responsible for a series of break-ins at Beaminster.

Described as white males, one around 5ft 6ins and the other 5ft 9ins, police say they were seen in the vicinity of two of the recent burglaries.

Amongst properties targeted were two insecure garages on the Beeches estate. A bottle of port in a presentation case was taken along with other items which were later recovered, in tact, at nearby Myrtle Close.

A property in North street was also broken into and computer items taken but these were also found dumped nearby.

Th two men were seen near this house and on Monday, February 18, at around 5am they were spotted again near Eggardon Close where they got into a car and drove off.

Investigating officer PC Tim Poole said he suspected they could be responsible for a series of break-ins at Beaminster recently - some of which probably had not been reported.

"We would like to hear about these two men and any crimes that may have happened in the last few days," he said.

He can be contacted via Bridport police station on 01305 222222
