Pulses raced as staff at an estate and lettings agency got sporty for charity.

Staff at Mayfair Town and Country, which has an office in Beaminster, raised more than £1,000 for Sport Relief.

This year teams collectively ran, walked and cycled the 104.4-mile distance as part of the South West Challenge.

The miles were completed on foot, by bike, treadmill and cross trainer across their 13 Dorset, Bristol, Somerset offices, leaving a few sore legs for several days after.

The target miles were exceeded, with teams achieving 190 miles in total, some 85.6 miles over the target set.

The final total raised was £1,017 - breaking their fundraising target.

The firm's Harriet Stacy-Marks said: "I'm incredibly proud of our teams for rising to the challenge; as we're the first to admit, we're not a naturally sporty bunch.

"But we're always happy to step up in the name of charity, and the aches and pains were well worth it when we saw the total come in.

"The theme of the challenge was centred around our number of offices, so as well as raising a fantastic figure for the charity, it was a fitting opportunity to highlight the wide coverage of our offices at Mayfair.

"Thank you to everyone who donated, prior to the event and on the day, and for the support from the public and passers-by who gave us such welcome words of encouragement on the day."

The money raised will go direct to Sport Relief, helping vulnerable people across the UK and the world.
