A BEAMINSTER man has been given a curfew after being convicted of breaching a behaviour order for the ninth time in the space of six months.
On New Year’s Eve, 2016, Christopher Vye, 64, was arrested and charged with breaching his Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO) at a restaurant in West Bay, after police received a call reporting a man causing a nuisance to members of the public.
A spokesman for Bridport Neighbourhood Policing Team, said: “Mr Vye was remanded in custody and appeared before Weymouth Magistrates Court where he pleaded guilty to breaching his CBO by being drunk in a public place and to using abusive, insulting or threatening words to cause harassment alarm or distress.
“He was order to pay £50 costs and an £85 victim surcharge and given a curfew between 8pm and 7am for 2 months. This is the ninth time that Mr Vye has been convicted of breaching his CBO since it was issued in July 2016.”
