FIREFIGHTERS were alerted to a carbon monoxide alarm sounding at a domestic property in Maiden Newton.
One crew from Dorset Fire and Rescue Service was mobilised to the scene at 8.21pm on Wednesday.
The alarm was sounding because of warm ash in a log pile next to the wood pile.
A spokesman for DFRS said: "This shows the importance of having a working fire and carbon monoxide alarms in your property."
