A 22-YEAR-OLD man has been taken to hospital after a crash in Beaminster.
Emergency services including Dorset Police, the South Western Ambulance Service and Dorset Fire and Rescue Service, were called to the scene at 9.05am this morning.
The single vehicle crash involving a blue Peugeot 207 took place at Hackthorn Hill near Beaminster and the driver, a 22-year-old man, was trapped inside the vehicle.
Two fire crews from Bridport attended and used hydraulic cutting equipment to release the man from the car.
The man was then taken to Dorset County Hospital by ambulance with possible neck injuries.
Dorset Police said the vehicle involved was registered to a man from Beaminster.
A police spokesman added: “The man’s injuries are not believed to be serious of life threatening at this time.
“The B3163 road north of Mapperton was also closed as a result of the collision.”
