CHILDREN and campaigners are joining in a walk to school to help win a footpath for their village.
Families, residents and councillors will join them for the walk to Salway Ash school this morning, September 26. They are planning to walk to school as a group with high visibility clothing available for all children, adults and any buggies. They want a footpath through Salway Ash from the village to the school and church.
The long-running campaign has been going for nearly 30 years.
Spokesman Sara Bennett said: “We have been very close and secured funding and planning, but each time something happens for it to be delayed.”
She added: “We would like to highlight the amount of families in the village that would like to walk to school, if it were safe.”
