DRIVERS are being reminded about road closures in Dorchester today.

A number of groups have joined forces in a special event celebrating the county town's finest stories as part of Heritage Open Days and Dorset Architectural Heritage Week.

High West Street and High East Street will be closed to traffic from 10am to 4pm, from Top o' Town roundabout to Swan Bridge over the Frome Millstream.

It is the first time these streets have been closed to traffic since the opening of the bypass in 1988.

There's lots happening which is suitable for all ages, including free guided tours of the new archaeological investigations at the back of the museum and Roman re-enactors.
