Following our Looking Back piece on carnival pictures from bygone days at the end of June, one person immediately spotted themselves.

After being identified on our Facebook link to the piece where we covered pictures from carnivals in the past, we at the Bridport News have asked, what happened next?

The picture of the two little chefs from Lyme Regis Carnival in 1991, included one of Lisa Boyland.

It turned out that Lisa did the event several times with her family, with her cousin Helen Carey and her sister also identified.

Lisa told the Bridport News: "When my grandad was alive our family participated in the carnival for many years.

"We also did Sleeping Beauty, walking entry, army, Chinese, hill billy's and I'm sure there were more.

"I smiled when I saw the picture as it brought back wonderful memories of our family."

Lisa was recently the manager of a charity shop, but left the role a year ago to raise her daughter.

Lisa said: "Hopefully she (Lisa's daughter) may one day like to be involved in the carnivals like me and my cousins were."

This year the Lyme Regis Carnival celebrated 70 years with 70 different events, and entertained visitors and locals for nine days.
