A farm brought home the bacon at an awards ceremony.
Spoiltpig bacon, which is produced by Denhay Farms based in Bridport and Honiton, has been recognised for its continued support of high welfare pig farming, by being awarded a Good Pig Award.
The award was presented to managing director Jim Loescher at the Compassion in World Farming Good Animal Welfare Awards held in Paris.
Spoiltpig bacon is made using only pork from outdoor bred British herds that are raised on RSPCA assured farms without the use of antibiotics.
This award was quickly followed by the announcement of the Taste of the West Awards, in which Spoiltpig received 3 golds for all three bacon products entered.
Speaking on the award win, Mr Loescher said: "We at Spoiltpig are delighted to receive the Good Pig Award for our high welfare British dry cured bacon.
"Delivering high health and welfare farming methods, driving innovation and striving for excellence responsibly is at the heart of what we do.
"This all adds up to the best tasting dry cured bacon from farmers we know and trust and all the pigs we use are 'raised without' antibiotics.
"Also to receive another three golds in the Taste of the West Awards this year was the icing on the cake."
