Hot, dry weather has triggered a cliff fall.
There has been a large landslide at Charmouth's East Beach, prompting a safety warning.
William Fisher, warden at Charmouth Heritage Coast Centre, has warned visitors to the area to be cautious following the unexpected fall.
Mr Fisher said: "It is dangerous at the moment. It happened some time overnight and was unexpected - a reminder of just how dangerous the coast can be.
"In the hot, dry weather the cliffs crack and fall without notice. Please do not stand directly underneath the cliffs or climb up into them.
"As the tide washes off it attracts people to the area to look for fossils. We would urge people to do this safely and not by climbing up cliffs."
