As a member of Bothenhampton Knit and Natter group and also West Dorset Mencap committee, I would like to say a huge thank you to the people of Bridport for your continued support.

Our May coffee morning, June stall in Bucky Doo Square and our most recent stall at Walditch strawberry tea enabled us to raise £1066.

All of this money has been passed to West Dorset Mencap for the benefit of people with learning disabilities.

The group all enjoy meeting every two weeks, producing an assortment of knitted items for sale so the lovely donations of knitting wool to the Mencap shop have helped us tremendously and are always much appreciated.

Kelly, the shop manager, helps us greatly by saving wool, fabric, wooden hangers and any items she thinks will be of use to us. She also stores the tables and gazebo.

The Bothenhampton knit and natter group has been in existence for approximately five years and has raised in excess of £10,000 so thank you again to everyone who has brought items from our stall and enabled us to donate such a large amount.
