It's time to raise a glass, as a popular cider festival returns for its fourth year.

SouthCider Festival, the main event at Bredy Farm in 2018, will take place from Friday, June 29 until Sunday, July 1.

The festival is one of three hosted at the farm each year, which is based on the outskirts of Burton Bradstock.

This year, the festival welcomes the Whiskey Shivers from Austin, Texas, as headliners, a band labelled by organisers as: "An exceptional collaboration of international high octane bluegrass musicians with punk rock energy".

A spokesman for the festival said: "Not only has SouthCider Festival reached across the pond for their bands, but they're also attracting international festival goers, with people travelling all the way from Germany to attend the event."

The Whiskey Shivers are on a line-up featuring more than 20 acts over the course of the weekend, including Bad Touch, Holy Moly and The The Crackers, as well as local favourites The Guns of Navarone and Black Water County.

This year the team at Bredy Farm have added the addition of a runway into the audience, which will give festival-goers the chance to be closer to the acts.

At the festival there will also be an all day festival kitchen, as well as a stall for The Church of Ciderology, coffee and cakes, face-painting, henna tattoos and more.

The spokesman said: "The best part about running these events is seeing like-minded people with an appreciation for good times and great music coming together, whether you come alone or within a group, we try our best to ensure that everyone leaves feeling like they've become part of the Bredy Farm festival family."

Proceeds made at the festival are donated by organisers to a good cause.

Currently, the beneficiary for this year's donation has not been decided.

Last year, Burton Bradstock Primary School were the beneficiaries, with the money going towards their music department.

The donation was used to hold an African drumming day-long workshop for the entire school, and also allowed the school to book a venue and production equipment for their Christmas play.

The previous year, organisers donated to the Air Ambulance.

Adult weekend tickets are currently £60 for three nights of tent camping and car parking.
