You have recently covered the devastating results of the fire at Parnham House and what is to be done with the remains.

I think that if you rebuild it what have you got?

A reproduction house which may have little or no character and certainly no history to the past.

Perhaps if the remains were demolished and a characteristic modern country hotel or country club incorporating some features of the previous house would certainly be worth doing, especially if the gravel drive from the main road through the old gates was reinstated.

This would bring new life and prosperity not only to the house and grounds but to the area, including employment prospects and visitors.
