If you're planning on visiting this accountancy firm at the end of June, expect to see brightly coloured trousers.

Scott Vevers Chartered Accountants, based in Bridport, will once again be taking part in The Grand Appeal's Wrong Trousers Day.

Staff at the firm will be wearing their own set of wrong trousers on Friday, June 29, all in the aid of charity.

This year the appeal is celebrating the 25th year of the release of Aardman's iconic film, The Wrong Trousers, and inviting fundraisers in the south west to don their weirdest, wackiest and most wonderful pair of trousers.

The Wrong Trousers appeal has been running since 2003, and is an annual fundraising event in support of Bristol Children's Hospital in conjunction with Aardman Animation.

Although the hospital may be based in Bristol, it treats more than 100,000 patients every year with life-threatening illnesses from Bristol, the south west of England, South Wales and beyond, and covers the largest geographical area of any children's hospital in England.

Carol Stickler, the office manager at Scott Vevers, introduced her colleagues to the charity day three years ago.

Carol is originally from Bristol, and has used Bristol Children's Hospital in the past.

Carol said: "We are very lucky to have a centre of excellence and expertise in our region, the work carried out there is phenomenal, and the care given by the medical staff is second to none.

"We have parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles working here in the office, and we want to be able to support the hospital, even in a small way, to continue to treat sick children and babies from all over the south west."

The money that fundraisers such as the team at Scott Vevers make goes towards investment in new medical facilities, life-saving equipment, providing family accommodation, arts music and play equipment, cots for tots, patient and family support and much more.

Suzanne Maverick, fundraising manager at The Grand Appeal, said: "Wrong Trousers Day is one of our most popular annual fundraisers, and each year we're blown away by the incredible amount raised for the young patients at Bristol Children's Hospital.

"The event really brings people together, friends, families, colleagues, classmates, all while raising vital funds for a good cause.

"We can't wait to see the array of weird and wacky legwear donned by our fantastic fundraisers this year."
