Organisers have announced the return of two performers for a spring concert.

Burton Bradstock Festival of Music & Art's spring concert will see harpist Eluned Pierce and violinist David Juritz perform once again.

Eluned Pierce is currently harpist with the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra, and is one of the UK's most experienced and versatile professional harpists with an international reputation.

Eluned has performed worldwide both as a soloist and principal player with most of the country's orchestras.

David Juritz has been the festival's artistic director for 13 years, and was leader of the London Mozart Players for 20 years, and appeared as a soloist throughout the world.

The concert for violin and harp will include works by Handel, Spohr, Ibert, Debussy, Ravel and Rachmaninov, and will take place at the Burton Bradstock Village Hall on Friday, June 1 from 7.30pm.

The conert is an event in the build up to the Burton Bradstock Festival of Music and Art, which takes place in mid-August.

The festival, which began in 1981, provides the crowds that visit with a range of events in a few days, with performances including orchestral concerts, evening and lunchtime recitals, jazz and world music, intimate late evening performances and an art exhibition.

Most of the concerts take place in Burton Bradstock's church.

This year the festival will run from Saturday, August 11 until Sunday, August 19.

Tickets for the June concert are £10, and available from the village post office or Gill Redford on 01308 897203.
