Thisweek whilst checking on the water levels of the River Brit from the bridge over it at St Swithins Road I noticed a black fluffy animal which I now know to be a mink pottering along the riverbank seeking cover by using the overhanging grasses.
My friends tell me they have them up at Burton Bradstock as well.
This is only a week after a kingfisher was spotted along the same stretch of our River Brit, we really are spoilt for wildlife here in West Dorset.
