A 24-year-old man has been arrested following an alleged incident of criminal damage to a telephone kiosk.
At around 3.15am on Saturday, February 24, a resident living near to the B3066 at Melplash reported being woken by the sound of an explosion.
In the morning it was established that a BT kiosk had been damaged. Part of the roof had been lifted, the door had blown off and glass had blown across the road.
A 24-year-old man, of no fixed abode, has been arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and has been released under investigation as police enquiries continue.
