Anthony Davis scored 48 points and took 17 rebounds as the New Orleans Pelicans beat the New York Knicks 123-118 in overtime.
The Pelicans rallied in the third quarter to come back from 19 points down and scored 14 in the extra period to serve the Knicks with their third straight defeat.
Davis’ season high was complemented by 31 points for Jrue Holiday and 15 points for DeMarcus Cousins, while Kristaps Porzingis and Tim Hardaway Jr each scored 25 for New York.
Indiana Pacers’ 120-97 rout of the Phoenix Suns saw Darren Collison score 19 for the winners.
Newcomer Josh Jackson, 20, scored 21 for Phoenix, although it was not enough and they have now lost four of five.
Indiana’s fourth win in five games helped dull memories of the Pacers’ earlier five-game losing streak.
Elsewhere Jimmy Butler scored 34 points to help the Minnesota Timberwolves dominate Portland Trail Blazers 120-103.
