The RSPCA is looking for dedicated volunteer drivers in Dorset to help transport animals to their centre in West Hatch, Somerset, so they can begin their rehabilitation or search for their forever home.

Anita Clark, deputy centre manager at RSPCA West Hatch, said: “Volunteer drivers play a vital role in the work that we do and provide support to our animal centres and inspectors.

“We are looking for people who are flexible, happy to drive long distances, and of course love animals and want to make a positive impact on animal welfare.

“Volunteer drivers to collect animals from other centres and private boarding and bring them to RSPCA West Hatch for rehoming. They also collect wildlife from other centres to come here for rehabilitation before release and help move Pet Retreat animals between centres, fosterers and owners.

“We are looking for drivers over the age of 21, with a clean driving licence, and availability during the week and who are able to commit to a regular amount of driving. We can work to any preferences and offer ad-hoc or a scheduled days to suit.”
