"DESPITE a well presented case of evidence, facts and law opposing this planning application, the case officer, Ms Jean Marshall of West Dorset District Council pulling the strings and all but one member of the Development Control Committee falling into line, the application was approved.”
In other words, the views of the residents of Bridport, Symondsbury and Allington, supported by their respective councils, were ignored and their representations falling on deaf ears.
What a sorry state-of-affairs and an affront to democracy!
It also adds insult to injury that all but two members of the plans committee live outside Bridport and make these extraordinary decisions on behalf of the Electorate they do not represent!
I am, however, confident we have not heard the last of this matter when further action will be taken to challenge the planning approval”.
