REMAINING residents at a Bournemouth caravan park have been given more time to find new homes before they are evicted.
The occupiers of 30 park homes at Hengist Park in Wick village were originally told to leave by the end of August when eviction notices were served by the park's new owners in July.
But many have found it difficult to find alternative accommodation and have now been told they need to leave by December 2.
Demolition has started on the site where owners Royale Parks are planning a future development. Details have not yet been released.
Workers involved in the demolition have been staying in empty caravans on the site.
Among those who have moved so far include 80-year-old Maureen Lazenbury, who had lived at the site for 37 years.
Royale Parks manager Lisa Ackerell told the Daily Echo: "As people vacate the old caravans they are being removed from the site.
"The workmen staying at the site is a temporary situation."
