TWO big names in the music business have just confirmed dates to play at Bournemouth next year.

Following the success of its new album, Freedom Child, The Script is bringing their 2018 UK & Ireland Arena tour to the BIC on Thursday, February 22.

The band said: “You guys may never understand how happy we are to have achieved our fourth number one album.

“You see, we’ve worked so hard on it and ultimately the fans decided whether it’s a strong album or not. We’re so so lucky and are humbled by it.

The first single from the new album, Rain, is currently the third most played song on national radio.

It’s also been added to over 300 playlists on Spotify and the video has already been viewed over 13 million times.

The Irish three-piece are one of the world’s most successful bands and have sold over 29 million records.

Those heading to the BIC on Thursday, February, 22 will be treated to songs from the new album and some of the band’s other massive hits including Man Who Can’t Be Moved.

n And one of Britain’s best live bands, Stereophonics, has also announced a date in Bournemouth for next year.

The band is embarking on a major UK arena tour which rolls into the BIC on Monday, March 5.

It follows the release of their new album, Scream Above The Sounds which comes 20 years after their debut Word Gets Around.
