THREE stylish and highly accomplished string musicians will perform at a Bridport coffee concert in September.

The Carneval String Trio will entertain at Bridport Arts Centre on Friday October 6 as part of a Concerts in the West tour.

The group is made up of Kamila Bydlowska on violin, Shiry Rashkovsky on viola and Timothée Botbol on cello.

Carneval String Trio perform an unusually diverse selection of music.

When musicians of this calibre combine their talents - Bydlowska, Rashkovsky and Botbol are all renowned soloists and orchestral/chamber performers - audiences can expect some pretty remarkable music making. A good trio will keep perfect time, blending together seamlessly in perfect unity while making subtle adjustments spontaneously as they interpret and shape the pieces they play.

Polish violinist Kamila Bydlowska graduated from the Royal College of Music with an Artist Diploma in Performance, having previously studied at Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in Bloomington, USA with Mauricio Fuks and Kevork Mardirossian, where she was awarded a full scholarship.

Her solo and a chamber performances include: the Walt Disney Hall in Los Angeles, the Elgar Room at the Royal Albert Hall, St. James’s Piccadilly, the National Gallery, St Martin-in-the Fields, Queen Elizabeth Hall at the Southbank Center, Victoria & Albert Museum in London, National Scottish Gallery in Edinburgh, and Grand Hall of the Tbilisi State Conservatory. As a soloist she recently appeared with the Angel Orchestra, Chamber Academy Orchestra, Croydon Symphony Orchestra, Ealing Symphony Orchestra, Guilford Symphony Orchestra, North London Sinfonia and Worthing Symphony Orchestra.

Shiry Rashkovsky, who was recently lauded by The Strad for her ‘beguiling…thrilling and exuberant’ Royal Festival Hall debut, pursues an international solo, chamber, teaching and orchestral career. A versatile musician, her performances have taken her across the globe to such venues as the Tel Aviv Opera House and Geneva Victoria Hall, including engagements for HRH Prince Charles and the Emperor and Empress of Japan.

After obtaining a BA in Social and Political Sciences from St Catharine’s College, Cambridge, Shiry went on to complete a Masters with First Class Honours and Artist Diploma at the Royal College of Music. Much in demand as a soloist and recitalist, Shiry is a prize-winner of the Martin Musical Scholarship Fund, Cecil Aronowitz Viola Prize, Philharmonia Orchestra Meyer Award, and the Countess of Munster Musical Trust Recital Scheme. She has performed with the New Music Ensemble, Kallion Ensemble, Outcry Ensemble, Cambridge University Symphony Orchestra CUMS, Royal Holloway Symphony Orchestra and the Barnet Symphony Orchestra. Shiri has also broadcast live for BBC Radio 3 and BBC 4.

Swiss cellist Timothée Botbol began his musical education in Geneva at the prestigious Jaques Dalcroze Institute and later progressed to the Geneva Conservatoire and the Haute École de Musique de Lausanne where he received his Master of Performance with distinction. Timothée is currently studying on the Artist Diploma course at the Royal College of Music, London with Alexander Chaushian.

Timothée has performed extensively as a soloist and is a keen orchestral musician, recently performing with the Geneva Conservatoire String Orchestra as guest soloist on tour in Italy and giving recitals in venues including Kings Place, Chapel Royal – Hampton Court Palace, Charlton House and Lausanne Steinway Hall. In February 2017 he was awarded the Grand Prize Special from all categories at the II Augustin Aponte International Music Competition, Tenerife.

Concerts in the West’s founder and director, Catherine Maddocks, said: “We welcome back the passionate polish violinist Kamila Bydlowska who played for us in 2015 with the Skazki Piano Trio. She is joined by award winning Shiry Rashkovsky and Timothée Bothbol for an interesting and eclectic programme. I am confident that our audiences will enjoy some dazzling interpretations of the pieces they have chosen to play.”

For the Bridport concert the performance will include Dohnányi and Beethoven.
