Top comedian Luke Kempner will be making an impression on the Shelley Theatre when he arrives on November 4. Luke is one of the fastest rising stars on the stand-up circuit and best known for his TV appearances on Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side and his popular YouTube videos.

Good comedians are hard to find, but impressionists that make the grade are even rarer. Fresh from an acclaimed run at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, Luke’s range of impersonations is truly mind-blowing.

He is the resident comedian on Celebrity Big Brother’s Bit On The Side, for which he has filmed three series and been hailed “a blummin’ genius!” no less by comedy legend Dawn French.

In demand, you’ve probably also seen his many talents and voices on TV shows such as The Tracey Ullman Show (BBC1), Episodes (BBC2), Murder In Successville (BBC3) and Newzoids (ITV1) among a host of others. Not to mention being a regular on Radio 4’s The Now Show.

The Bournemouth show is called Take A Long Hard Luke At Yourself and will see Luke examining how he spends his life pretending to be other people. But who is the real Luke?

Luke started his career in musical theatre, playing Marius in Les Misérables as well as taking roles in Avenue Q and South Pacific. A graduate from The Guildford School of Acting, he also plays the piano, is a puppeteer and classically trained singer.

Luke first shot to global attention in 2012 with his hit viral video, Downstairs At Downton. Since then, Luke has gone from strength to strength, taking his one man show The Only Way Is Downton (described by the Daily Telegraph as a “remarkable tour de force”) to theatres and festivals across the UK, including Latitude and two years at the Edinburgh Fringe. He also took the show to Moscow, Spain, USA and Toronto.

Last year saw Luke return to the Edinburgh Fringe for a sell-out run of his show, Judi Dench Broke My Heart.

Join Luke on his journey to find out who is the real him. Will it be Andy Murray? Will it be Donald Trump or will it be his own father! You’ll have to go along to the Shelley Theatre on November 4 to find out.
